Affirming
All gender identities, sexual orientations, relationship structures, and cultural backgrounds are welcome here.
02 / About
More direct than a blank nod. More spacious than a checklist.
The person in the room
I’m Peter Fray, a registered psychotherapist based in Toronto. I work with adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, stuck relationships, grief, identity, and major change.
Therapy does not need a rigid script. Some sessions are structured and goal-oriented; others are slower and exploratory. What stays consistent is honest attention and a pace that serves you.
My practice is explicitly LGBTQ+ affirming and anti-oppressive. Personal history matters. So do the systems, expectations, and power structures that shape your life.
Warm ≠ vague
Direct ≠ prescriptive
01 / Principles
All gender identities, sexual orientations, relationship structures, and cultural backgrounds are welcome here.
You know your life. I bring clinical skill, honest feedback, and curiosity. We decide together what the work needs.
Racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and other systems have real effects on mental health. We do not pretend otherwise.
I will not tell you how to live. I will gently name patterns and contradictions when they matter.
02 / Methods
I draw from evidence-based and depth-oriented approaches, then adapt the work to the person—not the other way around.
